Dr. Angela Karali has a five-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Patras, an MSc in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Rochester (USA) and a PhD in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Pennsylvania State University (USA). She also holds a Certificate in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of California Berkeley-Extension. As a PhD student and later on as an assistant professor, she taught various undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Engineering Mechanics. Currently, she is a Lecturer in the School of Engineering at Mediterranean College, an affiliate of the University of Derby (UK).
Dr. Karali has worked in the new product development and manufacturing business units of Cummins, Inc., a FORTUNE-500 manufacturer of diesel engines and filtration products, headquartered in Columbus, IN (USA). Her areas of responsibility included new product research and development, manufacturing and quality operations.
For more than 15 years she has worked as a consultant focusing on the development and implementation of technical projects and EU-funded programmes (i.e. Erasmus+, Interreg, etc.) mostly in the fields of vocational education and training, human resources development and entrepreneurship, as well as EU policy regarding engineering education and practice.
Since 2017 she has been collaborating with Seven Sigma on a variety of projects related to research, technology development and innovation, addressing the training needs of corporate clients.
